About Dr. Grace Soo Hyun
Grace S. Hyun, MD, is a pediatric urologist at NYU Langone Medical Center. A clinical associate professor, Dr. Hyun treats urologic conditions in children younger than 18 years old, including but not limited to circumcisions, hypospadias repairs that reposition the urethra, undescended testicles, varicoceles, kidney stones, inguinal hernia repair to prevent the intestine from pushing into the groin and vesicoureteral reflux. Prior to her appointment at NYU Langone, Dr. Hyun served as associate director of pediatric urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. A graduate of Cornell University Medical School, she completed her surgical internship and urology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Hyun also works collaboratively with specialists in other disciplines. She participates in prenatal counseling when a urologic issue is identified during an ultrasound. This multidisciplinary approach between obstetrics and urology allows expectant parents to prepare for treatment after birth. NYU Langone ranks among the 10 "Best Hospitals" in the country for urology, according to U.S. News & World Report. "Our doctors have pioneered medical and surgical treatments for a vast array of adult and pediatric urologic abnormalities," says Herbert Lepor, MD, the Martin Spatz Chair of the Department of Urology at NYU Langone.
